Chicken Casserole

2 cups cooked chicken
2 cups uncooked macaroni
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
2 cups milk
1 onion, diced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
3 Tbsp butter
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Mix all together in a large casserole dish.  Let stand overnight.  Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.
