Baked Macaroni and Cheese

1 pkg (16 oz) elbow macaroni, cooked
1/4 cup butter
1/2 pound Velveeta
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg
2 1/2 cups milk
Paprika

Cut butter in small pieces and place in bottom of 13x9.  Place 1/2 of macaroni over butter; sprinkle with 1 cup each of the cheese.  Beat the egg and milk with a whisk.  Pour half of the egg mixture over macaroni and cheese.  Repeat layers of macaroni, cheese, and egg.  Sprinkle lightly with paprika.  Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.  Remove from oven; stir till well blended.  Bake 15-30 minutes more until cheese is completely melted.
