1 pound hamburger
1 pkg Italian sausage
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup chopped celery
2 carrots, sliced
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 cups water
2 banana peppers, seeded and chopped
1 can Italian stewed tomatoes
1 can condensed tomato soup
3/4 cup uncooked instant rice
Cook hamburger and sausage; drain fat. Add onion, celery, carrots, Italian seasoning, basil, salt & pepper. Cook & stir for 5 minutes. Stir in water, banana peppers, tomatoes, & soup; bring to a boil. Cover & simmer for 30 minutes. Stir in rice; cover & cook for 10 minutes.
