Creamy White Chili

1 pound chicken, cooked & cubed
1 onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 cans great northern beans, drained & rinsed
1 can chicken broth
2 cans (4 oz each) chopped green chiles
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 cup (8 oz) sour cream
1/2 cup whipping cream

In stewpot, combine chicken, beans, broth, onion, garlic powder, chiles, salt, cumin, oregano, pepper, and cayenne pepper.  Bring to a boil.  Reduce heat; cover & simmer for 30 minutes.  Remove from heat.   Add sour cream and whipping cream.

Serves 7
