Cinnamon Muffins

1/3 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 Tbsp butter, melted

In a bowl, cream shortening and sugar.  Add egg; beat well.  Combine flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.  Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk and mix well. Fill greased muffin cups half full.  Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown on top.  In a bowl, combine sugar and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon.  Dip muffin tops in melted butter then cinnasugar.

Makes 1 dozen
