Cheesy Potato Casserole

2 pounds hash browns
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pint sour cream
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 cups cheese, grated

Topping:
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 cups corn flakes, crushed

Mix together the first 8 ingredients place in casserole dish.  Mix topping ingredients and place on top of hash brown mixture.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
